When I was in 3rd grade I had a friend named Susan that discovered she had a bunch of small frogs living in her back yard, so she began selling them in those little paper water cups for a dollar each during recess and lunch. I bought one, named him Legs and hid him in my messy desk, I remember taking him out every other minute and peeking in to see him breathe. It's pretty funny now that I think about it, how a bunch of little 3rd graders had frogs that the teacher didn't know about.
Legs was the best frog ever, he was so green and he could jump extremely high. My mother gave me a brand new Tupperware container that she poked breathing holes in so he could have a home, but she also made me keep him in the garage (I can't blame her, she grew up in Mexico where all animals were to be kept outside).
My neighbor asked me if she could baby-sit him so I told her to feed him lady bugs. One Sunday morning while her father was mowing the lawn she let Legs out and we never saw him again.......
